Edward Bottone is a food and lifestyle journalist based in Philadelphia, whose works have appeared in Philadelphia Magazine, The Bermudian, London Times Express, Islands Magazine, and the on line magazine www.tablematters.com.
He is Chef/Instructor in the Culinary Arts program at Drexel University. Edward has been a radio talk show host (The World of Food and Fine Living, Philadelphia), a TV presenter (The Curious Cook Cooks, Bermuda), and is a food stylist and photographer. As a professional chef and restaurateur, he was the owner of Lautrec Restaurant and the Borgia Café and was a pioneer during the Philadelphia Restaurant Renaissance. He also works as a consultant to restaurants and hotels, specialty food manufacturers and as an advertising copywriter.
His first book is The Curious Cook's Tastes of Bermuda, a guide to Bermuda's restaurants and pubs with signature recipes. This was followed by The Spirit of Bermuda: Cooking with Gosling's Black Seal Rum, a colorful exploration of Bermuda’s cuisine, culture, premier spirit and export. Edward developed a collection of Bermuda Classic Soups and new sauces for Outerbridge Peppers International, a line of gourmet specialties for Gosling's Black Seal Rum and has marketed a line of artisanal breads under the Curious Cook’s specialty products label.
He is currently at work on a mystery series in which food plays a starring role, as well as a cookbook series called The Curious Cook Cooks.
